Ecuador Mission 2008

Our trip this year was a success, here is a link to the first photos available

Ecuador2008

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Brenda Pugh, Kayla Fine and the A. M. Pugh Horse Show for its hard work and generous contribution to Community Cares For Kids!

Last week, while the Team was in Ecuador,  the show raised over $6000 to benefit the children of the world who require much needed medical surgery and treatment!
This generous donation will give us a jump start with next year's mission (already planned for June 20-27, 2009)!

A Day with Horses: The A.M. Pugh Benefit Horse Show is now in the Windsor Park Theater CLICK to View

As you well know, Community Cares For Kids has many supporters.  However, we work hand in hand and side by side with the James Correa Foundation of Miami to make this mission happen. Without their knowledge, expertise, and commitment, we would not have the smooth transition in and out of the country as well as maintaining a great relationship with the Naval Hospital that we have.

Mary Correa is the head of the foundation and coordination liaison between CCK, the Naval Hospital, the Airline and the Ecuadorian Government.  Without her, we would not have the connections that we benefit from!
Vanessa Rodriguez, is one of our interpreters and the on-site Hospital-Team Coordinator.  She understands what the Hospital requires and what the Team needs!  She makes it happen!
This year, The James Correa Foundation added a new member to its team, Dr. Piendo, a pediatrician and neonatologist from Miami's Jackson Memorial Hospital!
The surgeon's were so appreciative to have such a specialist in the recovery room monitoring their patients post operatively!  They felt as though they died and went to heaven!  Her expertise was such a luxury and greatly needed and appreciated!

I can't tell you how much I truly depend on Mary when the mission is in the organizational phase!  She makes my job much easier!!!!!

Thanks again to all the members of The James Correa Foundation (JCF) and Community Cares For Kids (CCK)!  We're a TEAM to be proud of!!!!!!
